A note about wax types:
Pillar wax has a firm shell and is used for free-standing candles, but is not best used in containers (e.g. jars) as it tends to shrink away from the sides when setting, and can rattle around within the container.
Mottling wax is like pillar wax, but sets in little snowflake-like patterns, which are better seen against darker colours.
Container wax is very soft and not ideal for free-standing candles. It melts easily and throws scent well, and therefore is used inside jars.
Gel wax is, as the name suggests, gel. It can only be used inside a container and will not stand on its own. It is poured into small square or round glasses as available. If you have preferences for this, please say so in the notes at the bottom of the form. Items such as pebbles, shells and glass hearts can be added to gel wax; again, please indicate your preferences.
A note about wick:
Most kinds of moulded candles can only fit one normal wick. Larger jar candles can accommodate three, or a single wooden wick with a large meltpool.
